The next California Superintendent of Public Instruction will oversee the largest public school system in the nation – serving nearly six million students. For the Jewish community, this election couldn't matter more.
Antisemitism in California schools has surged in recent years. In response, we led the passage of AB 715 – California’s landmark school antisemitism prevention law. But a law is only as strong as its enforcement. The next Superintendent will be responsible for implementing AB 715 and setting the tone for how California schools respond to antisemitism on campus.
